Mobile BRAVIA® Engine?

I want to know about the Mobile BRAVIA® Engine, is it a newer version compared to the 2011 phones? Any plan to update or improve the Mobile BRAVIA® Engine in the future?

a bit off topic , but arc's screen sucks my friends have s2 , iphone and galaxy note , the colors are so rich ,

and the arc just have brightness and nothing else

all the colors seem faded....

has anyone experienced this..??

i replied here , just to see if bravia engine is the culprit...

iPhone screen is better because it is IPS LCD panel. (arugably the best panel type but high cost)

Arc uses S-PVA LCD panel from SLCD corporation (it was a joint venture Samsung/Sony)

Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note's AMOLED/AMOLED+ screen has many, many problems. You can google it. Avoid it like the plague.

From my understanding it is the same as previous releases. I do not have any information regarding plans to make changes to it at this stage.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

You might have heard about the Sony BRAVIA technology used by Sony on their TV-screens. The Xperia Arc is powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine which are a feature developed jointly by Sony and Sony Ericsson. Rikard Skogberg, the official Sony Ericsson product blogger, told us on a direct question that the Mobile BRAVIA was a software only solution. So it seems that no special hardware is required to host the BRAVIA Engine and thus it should be easy to implement the same feature on future Android devices as well.

It's kind of bull shit that Mobile BRAVIA Engine works good when you set your phone to the brightest...

I suppose to be expecting MBE to work good even in low light (XPERIA sola) and what do you know XPERIA Z overcome this with OLED display...

This greatly killed the XPERIA V LCD with the same MBE2...
