Is mGuard a paid application? It sounds to me like the program is asking for a key/unlock code to use the application itself.

Alternatively, you could try the default lock code of the phone (also a theft deterrent) which is 0000 (four zeroes).

I don't have a personal suggest for an app. of this type, but we like to recommend www.getjar.com for these java applications.

http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Security/Utilities/mGuard-56271.shtml According to this website, you first need to register your phone's IMEI and an unlocking code to activate mGuard will then be provided. Therefore, this appears to be a code to activate the application only, not the phone lock code or network unlocking code.I suggest you go through the process of downloading and re-installing mGuard again, folowing all the instructions to obtain the code, either using the above link, or from this one (which also has a link for the complete documentation, which might be useful):

http://www.phoload.com/software/130-mguard/view

It doesn't appear to be available on Getjar any more.
