4/10 lol pretty much sums it up.. engadget speak the truth, for it is junk.. 2008/early9 maybe 2010 = rubbish outdated.. i hope someone (A CEO) at SE gets the sack for letting the accountants near the designs.. penny pinching mo****f****rs

the phone should of been great instead it is well below par.

i dont care about the reviewer but when a website as known as engadget.com tells me that my phones SUCKS, i know then that i was not complaining out of nothing. surprisingly they are still selling xperia's and the idiot who is responsible for the xperia fleet is still not fired.

Do you know how Japanese companies work? I do, I used to work with them. Senority comes with added protection when it comes to line of fire. OLD people who sits up there in the company, dictating what price the devices, approving designs and implementations, and the kind of support consumers get, are the ones who will least likely get sacked. I think the review is shallow and pointless. Nothing in it is relevant when it comes down to the real reason why you buy a smart phone; to make calls, listen to music, watch videos, use the internet and so on. The X10 is excellent at all of those things and more. If you bought the phone without researching when updates were scheduled..well, shut up! You've no right to complain. Buyer beware. I did my research. Bought the X10 knowing the OS would not be updated until September. And I LOVE it. It's a beautiful design. It has no failures in any of the important features I want. Excellent screen in direct sunlight. Nice manly size. Every app I want works on it. It is debrandable, unlockable and rootable. Wifi is excellent. Bluetooth is excellent. Sound is excellent. Image capture and video capture is great. Battery life is 2 days! You guys and your shallow consumerism make me ill. Get a life. You DO NOT NEED THe latest release of everything in order to be happy. Give it a rest. And if you can't be happy without the latest then I suggest you go visit a therapist and sort your shxt out. Or at least take some fxxxing anti-depressants and shut up until you have something worth saying to say.

Wow… Cool down my friend…

1) you can not tell people WHAT THEY NEED OR DO NOT NEED..

2) most of these people are technology lovers and geeks, and when it comes to them a device is not about what it does , it’s about what it can do, and what it could've done if..

3) considering that SE acknowledged some of the problems these people are complaining about, I can’t see how you can call it perfect in every way possible, unless of course you\re comparing it to a pair of Nike sneakers.

4) we don't know what phone you used to have before this one, but it seems you have very low expectations,and that's why you think what you have now is a marvelous piece of technology. Others have seen more so they demand more.

your one of those ones who won't have anything bad said about something you own lol except it read the forums 80% of people who have it are disappointed with it.. telling people on here they need therapy ha i think its you who needs some rage therapy, these people are ticked about something they own (spent money on) You are crying over peoples opinions (cost you nothing to read) ... did your mummy never tell you sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you.

a) Why not? They clearly haven't figured out what the important things in life are.

a) A technology lover is not defined by the inability to appreciate something as it is.

a) I didn't call it perfect in ANY way. I called it excellent at many things.

a) I've seen most everything out there. The differences from phone to phone, in real everyday use are infinitesimally minor. The X10 is a marvellous piece of technology that boots fast, is very stable, has almost no lag, and is very capable at doing anything a smart phone should be able to do. If other's figure another phone would do more for them, why did they buy this one? Didn't do their research? Who's fault is that? SE's?
