6.0.a.3.73 update failing

When i plug my phone into pc companion it says there is an update to 6.0.a.3.73 available. It then tries to download this update but comes up with an error message but no error code so i dont know what the problem is. Im in New Zealand but the phones parallel imported, the SI number is 1257-5188.

If anyone could tell me how to fix this problem and also what country that SI number responds to i would much appreciate it

Ok, the first thing to try is this:

1. Close PC Companion

2. Install java from http://www.java.com/winoffline_installer

3. Start PC Companion again and try to do the SW Update of the phone.

I have no way of knowing unfortunately as I do not have a full data base of SI or DPY numbers here, Please do let me know how you go with the update.

I'm having the same problem and find below the errors. I've tried installing the Java too

From Update Service

An error has occurred. See the log file

I am unable to update my phone to this software everytime i try my computer crashes, so i tried the download update on one of ur psts and i got to the turn your phone of bit and waited 30 seconds, i then put the usb cable in and held down the volume down button and nothing happend so i then tried to turn my phone onand was unable to turn the device back on i ended up having to remove the battery from the device to turn it back on what should i do about this update.
