TOUCHSCREEN NOT WORKING WHILE CHARGING

Hi guys i have a very strange issue... whenever i am charging the phone and its connected to a wall charger,the touchscreen on the phone doesnot work. on pressing the menu button the phone starts going throug icons and options byitself even without even me touching the screen. is this a hardware issue?

is there an specific app that opens up every time? if it is it might be triggered by liveware

nope,no apps run....the touchscreen is not usable at all....if i plugin the charger when settings screen is open and if i touch the screen,the phone randomly starts moving through all the options. and other problem is that i cant update my phone as pc companion nor update service detects my phone.
