Selected netw. unavailable issue

Hi,

I am using sony live with walkman with Airtel 2G network with GPRS enabled. Am facing some unique problem whenever I make a outgoing call. When I make the ougoing call I get a notification in the notification bar saying that the selected netw. (Airtel) unavaiable. Even this happens when the call is in progress.

In the above attached screen shot you can see the issue, The signal strength is there but the notification is showing up.

Also, the other issue is that when some one calls me or I make outgoing call once the call get connect ( it shows the timer) I can't hear anything also the other end doesn't hear anything... After restart only I could make a call. It's really irritates in a big time.

do you have a taskiller or antivirus or battery defender? turn off usb debugging and try again. also how old is your SIM card?

I have go power battery manager applicaiton.

It's around 3.5 yrs old sim card. it's a 64k sim card.

But, I wonder how taskkiller/battery defender make phone to show this kind of message.?

USB Debugging disabled and I have removed all task killer applications. but, still I get this problem.

that's a really old SIM card, try borrow a new SIM card or get a new SIM card

Let me try with new sim and update here..
