Broken Screenshield

Dropped my phone this morning.

Got cracks all over the screen, but everything is still working.

I'm using the phone right now, to write this text.

Question: does anyone have a clue, if it is possible to fix this?

Where do I get this done, and how much may that cost?

i tought xperia active is thier toughest phone yet it still breaks

Is it just the pre-applied screenSHIELD that broke, or the actual glass underneath? The title of the thread confuses me

gorilla glass it's not unbreakable it's harder to break, but that's not the point, the point is that it doesn't get scratched as easily as regular lime glass

I stand corrected, it has quite similar if not the same qualities as Gorilla Glass

A the bottom here ( http://insider.sonymobile.com/handset.aspx?modelname=xperiaactive&lc=en&cc=US ) it says Xa has Gorilla Glass, but after looking at a certain -proper- toughness test video, I'm starting to think the only Gorilla Glass on this phone is the pre-applied screen protector.

Part 1: He tests the phone with screen protector for scratches and etc.

Part 2: He discovers the pre-applied protector, removes it and tests again.

Conclusion: The screen protector seems to be much more scratch resistant than the actual glass.

sony added a scratch resistant film on top of the gorilla glass, Gorilla glass it's suppose to withstand scratches but that doesn't mean it won't scratch

I know that "GG" is not invincible, but the same independant tested performed the exact same test on a Galaxy Xcover, which also has Gorilla Glass, and it did not have a single scratch in the end, while the Xperia active's screen was full of big, deep scratches by the end of the video.

I have an Xperia active myself and I love Sony Ericsson, but I'm thinking Sony (Ericsson) is misleading their customers here. I have also discovered that that "crimi8787" guy on Youtube - who is known from the extreme XA glass test - advertises Sony products on Youtube, so I'm suspecting his Xperia active videos are in one way or another fake, too. One obvious fake thing in one of his videos - where he "ice fishes" with his XA -, is that at one point, his phone rings, and he slide-answers his phone with thick isolated winter gloves, which doesn't make sense with a capatitive touch screen.

you can use gloves, not all types of gloves will work but some will, even with my Arc I can use some gloves, it all has to do with the materials they use, I still think they are real but the camera can't capture the small scratches it might have (on the film protector)

exact same thing happened to me! cracks everywhere but the phone still goes. it was only a one meter drop
