Image file naming in camera :((

SE Xperia Neo V Camera sets file name with a prefix and ordered number. The problem is that after I move photos from Neo to a PC, the numbering next photos does not continue, and start anew. I this way I lost a few photos while uploading files to PC. This name method is correct or not?

Before SE Xperia I had Nokia smartphone, so it was add in the file name, except for the odered number, the date + time with seconds.

There isn't.

You may consider using another camera application, as it likely names the files in a different way.

I don't unterstand what you are talking about? What application I use for making photo? I use default camera Android 4.0.3 ICS

this is normal on a digital camera, there are few that keep track of the last picture that was taken after you delete them, for the most part if you remove the pictures the name of the file will reset to 000

But this filenaming function is so idiotic... I just don't know: is this Android or Xperia?

can you tell me more what androids there are? Is another way to resolve this problem except

as jeff said using another camera app

don't delete all the pictures, leave the last picture (if you take 100) leave the 100th picture so the next picture will be 101

Sorry if in wrong place.

I dont recall having any other camera apps than the one wich came with my xperia acro s but still my first ~50 pictures were named datetime.jpg and after that they went to ***0001.jpg. Is this possible?
