Google Maps problem after ICS update : Xperia Ray

Hi,

I updated my Xperia Ray with ICS offcial update with PC companion. After the update, Google Maps applicaton is not working as it was before.

01). My location on the map is shown as a blue dot instead of the blue arrow.

02). North up/Track up button is not working.

03). It takes longer than usual to detect my location. (sattelite signals are perfect and recieving from 7 sats)

I have ticked all three options in Settings>Location Services

I have also turned on wi-fi

I updated the app with app store and still same.

the reason it's only a dot, its bc you are not moving, but try this

settings -> applications -> manage applications -> maps -> clear data/cache and uninstall updates

restart your phone and then check again

Thank you very much for your reponse. I have uninstalled updates but it didn't help. When I press the track up button nothing happens.

and the arrow is not shown when I move.

that's quite odd, how about if you repair the phone with SUS

that arrow is not there,

i checked it on the very first day and it seems to be a problem with google maps

And have all the same problem as you

i checked everything and wrote about it to google

I'm also having the same problem with google maps in my Ray. This problem must be solved my the Xperia team or by G-maps developers ???

Same problem with my Xperia Active, google maps doesn't work with compass any update with this issue?

finally this issues has been fixed by google in the maps ver 6.10 update and get the compass back :smileygrin:
