Based on what you are describing and what troubleshooting you've done, It sounds like a physical problem that would require a technician to look at the phone.

I'd contact your nearest office by phone and ask about the local warranty policy and process.

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/support/contact-us/contact-info/

Hi ppl!

My brand new (January 2012) Xperia Ray's screen stoped responding.
It started 1 or 2 months ago. The smartphone was working properly when the screen just stoped fixed and with no touch response.
At first I waited a few seconds or minutes and then it stared responding or sometimes I just removed the battery and when the phone was restarted the screen was ok again.
It began to happen several times and started hapening all the time and the time that screen was not responding was bigger and bigger everytime.

Now I cannot turn it on because the screen does not respond and I am not able to put the PIN Code.. so it's like that for days..

The phone never had problems with the operating system and I did everything I could. Since removing battery and SIM Card when the problem starts untill updating software.. nothing results! Now it has the ANDROID 4.0.. but I cannot turn it on!

Can you help me???
