I have been having trouble using PCC for some time now. Whenever I try to use it, it now says 'unable to install or start software components'. I've read a long time ago that this was 'limited to a small number of users' I could post about 50 links from this site and other sites with tons of users using different models of phone with this problem. Do you know what it is yet? How to resolve it?

Will SUS be removed from availability? Can we upgrade to ICS using SUS if PCC isn't fixed?

I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled PCC on Windows 7, tried on Windows 8 and exactly the same message.

Installed Java again

Tried with USB debugging on and off

Cleared app MTT data

Tried other pcs

other stuff I can't remember

Thanks for your help on this

Thank you, I have tried disabling the firewall and antimalware completely and still no luck. Whatever the problem it doesn't seem to be those two either.

If SUS isn't immediately planned for phasing-out and if we can use SUS to continue to update to 4.0 then I'd be happy to use SUS.
