GPS malfunction

I bought a brand new xperia U (still not completely available on italian market) 3 days ago, but it is not possible to make GPS find any location, even if i'm in the middle of an open area, nor even changing mobile-phone company sim (wind, vodafone, tim, ...). It doesnt' work!!! why? am I the only one with such a problem?

what do I have to do? I'm really disappointed, since it is such an amazing phone, but it fails on such a delicate point as the GPS!!!

If it actually NEVER works then it sounds like it could be a potential software problem, or even physical problem with the GPS equipment.I suggest you try and repair your phone with our PC Companion application, and if that doesn't work, you'll have to call us to see if you qualify for warranty repair services.

but, the question is: how could the PC companion be useful? my phone is already up to date and there are no "repair" options. what am I supposed to do?

ok, I found a repair option while trying to update the already updated software!! I try, and I'll post the result!

nothing. Even after the update with pc companion, it says "current position temporarily not available".
