Camera colour problem with my Neo V and ICS update Error

I have bought a Neo V through eBay on Jan 30th or so. (They have given New Product with Manufacturer Warranty)

When ever I click a pic with Neo V, there will be some bluish/ greenish shade over the photo I have taken. Check with the image provided. This was from March itself.

I am living in Banaglore,India. I have tried to resolve this by approaching Service people here. Later I happen to know that they have much less knowledge regarding this.

They are trying some stupid steps like factory reset/ updating etc which are irrelevant at this point, as itseems the problem is hardware related/ something more.

Ofcourse I had obliged for their words for 4 times, but it is in vain as expected.

At last, I was lil serious at them, then they said that we need to change the mother board , & for this I need to wait for morethan 2 weeks itseems.

I was really afraid listening that as I cant bear such change in the system, with my 4 months old Neo V.

Plz suggest me the correct approach.

When ever I tried to connect my Neo V to my PC, it prompts me to update it to ICS.

Unfortunately, it would show an error when ever I tried for the same. Actually, I was very much impessed by ICS after I glanced it at my bro's Nexus. I am very much waiting for this update. Plz tell me the way.

Other info- My internet, PC are well and good. No problem with them. I had a paid versions of Antivirus too.

This does seem like a hardware issue. I recommend that you have a little faith and let them work on your phone to see if they can fix it. As for the error message you're getting I recommend that you follow these steps:

1. Close PC Companion.

2. Install java from http://www.java.com/

3. Start PC Companion again and try to do the SW Update of the phone.

Thanks for the prompt response but how come I should oblige for this, there is no physical damage for it indeed. It was just 1.5/2 months old when it started showing the problem.

Coming to ICS update, actually I had lastest version of Java installed in my PC. Plz let me know the other issues if any.

A hardware issue does not always mean physical damage, it can also be a manufacturing defect, but only a technician can determine this. Another way to update the phone is through the Update Service application. You can download it from: http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/

camera colours (purple fringe) is a common problem in neo v..it comes with flash in dark.. go to nearest service centre to get it done..i too had the same problem..but now its perfect..

and also try to install .net framework 2.0 before installing sony pc companion...

what did the service center guys repair your phone? did they changed some parts? i wanna know cause i also want the purple fringe to be fixed in my neo v. thanks

i dont know what they repaired..but i visited there two times..1st time they tried by changing motherboard and imei no.was also changed but the problem was there..i again went there and they given it back the next day with perfect neo v...

plz try to call up them and enquire what had they did. if u have any possibility.

Plz do this as everyone of us has to be cautious if we wanna undergo such major change in such costly mobile.

Here in Bangalore, India, I think they dont have such expertise, those heroes thought it to be software problem, they dont know even about ICS update..Thats it, I ll go to another service centre, but I cant trust them completely, so plz help me in this regard as u gt out of the pblm.

Regardiing ICS, yes I got it when i tried it from Sony update centre
