Xperia S facebook intergration

Is anyone else finding that the intergrated facebook constantly runs in the background using around 50mb of RAM. I have turned off all the notifications and syncs yet it still starts its self. Either facebook or sony need to sort it out!!

go to settings -> applications -> running services -> stop Facebook, as long as you don't have facebook sync w/ other apps such as timescape or widgets it shouldn't reopen

Just done that now doesn't seem to be reopening cheers. Can't wait till ICS so you can kill it more easily once you have closed it, as it stays running everytime you have used facebook.

Indeed, BUT I don't think we'll be able to kill it that easily, since it's heavily integrated we might be able to stop data/wifi access to it and maybe stop it longer but we'll see. btw check this thread

Xperia S picture quality, the pictures look amazing on the S's screen but washed out on a regular LCD/LED or HD TV/Screen

Your the man in the know on here, ive been looking at some of the features of ICS. When the xperia s gets updated we should be able to disable all the bloatware apps that sony locks onto the device, am i right in saying this?

Already watched it

Looks nice and slick. I hope there will be a few more apps compatiable with it when it is running ICS. As all the top titles from gameloft do not even appear on play store and the majority of the EA games don't work either.

I have emailed them before in the past and ea. They have never got back to me, i don't understand it because the xperia s definately has the hardware to run any of the games they produce. I have GTA 3, Mass effect, Reckless Racing 2 and the new red bull x-fighters on mine. They have never really glitched or crashed.

it's not bc the Xperia S doesn't have the hardware requirements, it's more of a HD compatibility issue

Most of there titles are HD now though so surely they should work perfectly with xperia s?

they are but not all Androids have a 720 HD screen
