Power Saver app: Timed saver doesn't start

I have activated the Timed Saver but it doesn't activate unless I start the Power Saver App. It kind of defeats its own purpose if you have to manually start the "scheduled" task...

Is this a known bug, will it work in ICS?

open the power saver app -> select the second option (or any option) -> customize it -> once your battery reach certain battery level it will work, if you turn off your phone it won't work

Hi, I had activated both the 2:nd 25% and the third 23:00->07:00, but the scheduled saver didn't start unless I started the app manually. I just had to start the app and then the scheduled saver would kick in.

After restarting the phone it seems I can't even activate the options. This app seems broken which is a shame becuase I think it would be great to be able to turn off all data sync during the night automatically.

The Alarm is able to play a sound at a given time so I imagine this should be possible too. I'm just glad I don't have to start the alarm app when it's time to wake up.

I just tested it and it worked fine, can you take a screenshot ? remember that the time must be set on 24hour clock

Right now for some reason the app wont let me activate the flashes on the left side and it's beyond me why it doesn't remember which ones I had activated before restarting the phone, it does however remember my Auto-start hours.

The problem was that if I had the Timed Save activated like you have now, the Timed saver didn't kick in until I manually started the app. If time was >= 15:46 and < 05:00 the Timed Saved settings would kick in but it didn't happen unless I started the app.

Start the app and then click back and wait to 15:46 tomorrow and see if the Timed Saver profile will activate without you have to start the app and when nothing has happend at 15:50 you can try to start the app, not activating anything, just starting it and you will see that your Times Saver settings will get activated.

try this

settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> power saver

Clear data -> restart your phone and try again

Clearing the data did the trick, now I can activate again. And the scheduled activation seems to work too. I will report back tomorrow and see if it works again after one on/off cycle :smileyhappy:.

Worked one time and now it is back the way it was before.

Today at 23 nothing happened. At 23:15 I started the saver app to have a look and then hit the back button.

After about 30 seconds after that, the scheduled saver started.

I really think this app is broken.

it works fine on mine, if you really need to use this app, I would recomend backing up everything and then repairing your phone with SUS

Yesterday it worked but today it didn't I noticed the power saver app is "restarting". If I start the app it changes it state to running but then after a while I guess i crashes and is back to the "restarting" state again and I have to start the app again :smileyhappy:. So yeah broken app is broken, I hope they fix it in ICS.

you can always try to repair the software with SUS

make sure you backup everything before hand

I ran the update service and just to be sure I didn't restore any backup, haven't installed any apps. Just a clean phone with nothing on it.

This is a known issue - not starting of power save app when scheduled on time. There was a topic on the forum a while ago.

The power save app starts correctly the first time when you schedule it. But the second time and further you need to activivate it manually. So when people test it, it seems to work. But the next time it doens't. Stopping the app works properly, even after the first time.

It is reported to the developers and hopefully fixed in the next release ( >.73 )

This app doesn't work correctly for me still on .75

Last night the app started at 23:00 [correct] But at 9:30 this morning, it is still active, even though it should turn off at 7:30. ONLY Timed saver is activated. Definitely a bug with this application.

Another thing I've noticed is that the brightness when choosing power saver ON changes to really bright, and no matter where you put the slider in the options, it doesn't make any difference. Rather opposite to what it's trying to achieve...no?
