I have a new W995 and downloaded a load of CDs from my PC, using Media Go. Although they all seem to have loaded with the artwork and title; the phone won't play any of them; it just gives the message 'failed'. None of the files recognize the length of the track. Can anyone help? Am I loading them up wrong or is there a fault with this phone? I have tried loading them to the memory card and phone memory (doesn't seem much room on the latter), and have tried them as aac and mp3.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks. Isabel.

I'm assuming that you ripped all the CDs and then transferred them to your phone/memory card via Media Go.It might be worth trying the "update media" option in the settings of your media menu, as this reorganises the media folders and clears any glitches and memory blocks. Also check to see if the music is in the File manager and whether you can play it from there.

thank you for these swift responses. I downloaded the service update and reinstalled the phone's software. The tracks are now downloading properly and playing out in my living room. Thank you.

Isabel.

PS. A joke for your troubles: a man goes to a bar with his pet giraffe. The giraffe drinks so much that he passes out. Barman to man: 'you can't leave that lying there'. Man: 'it's not a lion it's a giraffe'.
