LED Bar...

How can I customise the LED Bar - at the bottom - so that it does what Sony implied it would do: ie. show notifications of missed events, sms, calls etc?

I should be most gratefull if anyone can enlighten me please.

I've tried playing with various settings but it just doesn't happen, even - as per the pdf manual for the 'U' which I downloaded from the Sony site - a brief glow to indicate a new sms or call.

Do we need to wait for a Sony update?

The notification LED is so dim as to be a complete waste of effort; I've downloaded LightFlow Lite, as recommeded by this forum, and that has improved the single LED, but I really want the LED Bar to do what Sony said it would.

The notification LED is just usefull... Why do not use the bar which the defining caracteristic of this device? Sony should really step up and quickly solve this problem...

I have the Xperia S and there are apps that can mod the notification bar, such as "Screen Filter", my suggestion, search the market for LED notification apps or "soft key backlight" apps

To Xperia Support Admins:

Why would you use that tiny,barely visible Notification Indicator(the one next to the front came,which i dont think is even Illuminated) instead of the beautiful Transparent bar?

Its IMPOSSIBLE to be notified by that tiny dot.

Please make it so that the Transparent Bar lights up for notifications by software updates.

Yes, such a shame that we have so little control of the light bar.

The LED's in the top right are horrible. Unless your sitting in the dark, you cannot see any notification.

However, it's important that Sony correct this with full function. The light bar is very bright - If they allow this to show notifications - we will wake up in the night with our bedrooms glowing! For this reason we will have to be able to state... disable light bar between X and Y time.

I totally agree with you. I don't understand SONY. They have the potential to make great devices but ALWAYS ALWAYS there's something that totally sucks! ON Xperia U is:

1. Camera IS GOD AWFUL

2. Light bar is not used for notifications? Really? Sony, please hire me, I'll make you profitable again.
