Multiple problems Neo V

I bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V a couple of days ago. A few hours after playing around with it I noticed some problems. The problems I had were:

1) the Wi-Fi stops working and can not be turned back on. I have seen this in other blogs. Mine now works perfectly. (All I did was format my SD card and factory reset the phone).

2)SD card issues. Phone suddenly stops reading SD card and tells me its no longer there. Also solved after SD formated for some reason.

3) Screen goes black but can see the light inbetween the keys below screen go on and off when I press the unlock key on the side (as if I am unlocking it and locking it again.)

pls help me out before I damage the phone.... Have opened it up to get the battery out so may times doesnt seem to get unstuck any other way. Turn it off to get it back up n running again.

I wanted to get all the problems I am having in 1 blog.

you already solved the first 2 problems

3. can you explain it better , i didn't understand.

when the screen is off and you press the power / unlock key , lights will glow. its perfectly normal.

I get that when phone gets stuck. Screen locks on its own after a few seconds as usuall. Then try to unlock it but screen remains black. As I say, its as if the screen stays off but the lights inbetween the keys below the screen go on and off when I press the power / unlock key. Just like when I lock and unlock the phone when its working ok.

ok so the phone's screen doesn't turn on.

are you able to use the phone ? i mean this happens sometimes or you can't even see the screen ?

as soon as that happens to me I have to remove the battery, put it back in and start the phone up again. If I don't do that the phone does not respond to anything else apart from the power/lock key (that just makes the lights, previously mentioned work when I use it). Screen remains black so cant see anything else apart from the lights to give me a hint on whats going on.

Any time. Browsing homescreen, applications screen, downloading from Play store. Maybe it happens when it stays idle. Locks and when I try to unlock screen stays black? Sorry I cant be more precise. Its happened so many times 😕

maybe ICS is not installed properly ... you should do a software update using PCC

Not having much experience with android phones I would rather avoid doiing something like that myself.

+ I havent changed anything on the phone. Got it from sony with ICS preinstalled so I find it very unlikely for them to have done something wrong (not installed properly). Update center sais all is up to date.

lol... just happened to me again. Was downloading some game. left it to download and screen locked just like it normaly does after a while. Then unlocked it to see progres, but by mistake locked it again. Barely had time to see the screen turn on. After that tried to unlock it again and no responce. black screen! I am using simple apps like advanced task killer, IMDB app, barcode AVG antivirus... dont have many games and any other app that came with the phone that can not be removed. I have about 150 Ram free.

okay so the problem maybe becoz of task killer n Avg .. i advise u to unisntal both and thn see if the problem persists

Mobile is factory reset and has same problem. When screen stops working apart from the lighs I checked and I get some sound from the speakers when I press the volume buttons. Its as if the display stops working. Everythine else works. Phone also acts slow now.

omg is a pain...

you shoud repair ur phone using PCC or SUS ..dont worry it will come back to normal n will work fine ..

if u r not confident then you should visit service center n ask them to repair ur phone

Also gets hot...maybe it work slower as its temperature goes up?

it should not slow down or anything hmm

connect ur phone to lappy or pc via usb and start pc companion

click on check software update and it will ask you to repair also ... and thn follow the intrustions

Ahhh yes! Updates! THnx a bunch! Umm... I thought I could update via Wi-Fi off phone. System Update or whatever that is called in app screens. I used that and it said I was using latest version. Well I hope this works.
