1. I was wondering if front LED lights between hardware buttons could be used as notification indicators? Any application that could make it work? I've searched for some on the market but no suitable.

I am so angry of the position of that notification/battery LED on the right side because it can not be easily seen in normal conditions. So I was wondering if front LED lights could be used to inform you about Missed calls, messages or emails by blinking or something; or even as a breathing light (as Nokia has on some their devices).

I personally use application "Missed call reminder" and it is possible to take control of the right side LED light. Unfortunately not able (at least not yet) to take control over the front light.

I would find this very useful if we could handle front LED to do what we need for.

I know that there is a topic on a board about how to turn those lights off (http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/152492#152492), I guess I need opposite - to turn them on conditionally :smileyhappy:.

It would be so nice if that option would come with ICS update.

2. Apropo lights and buttery consumption - I am wondering why my keyboard lights are ON when I open the hardware keyboard even on a GOOD LIGHT environment (in the sun or under the good light)? Isn't there any sensor that should measure environment light and turn the backlights off when no need, or maybe I missed it somewhere in the settings? I just know that my previous phone did automatically adjusting keyboard backlights according to the environment.

3. What is the clock widget as shown in the picture here?

Thanks in advance

I don't think the LED behind the physical keys can be managed through the Android SDK. Might be possible using a custom ROM in the phone, which in other hand could void your warranty.

About the keyboard backlighting, I checked this on a Xperia pro and it goes on as soon as I flip out the keyboard. No settings for this.

I think that is the digital clock widget, I believe that there is two digital clock widgets in Xperia pro.

Thanks for your answer. I still hope that there is a workaround to use front LED as indicators. Waiting to see what will some of the developers be able to do.

Has anyone else founded any simple app for this matter?
