xperia x8 help !! :pray:

Good Day, My unit can connect to a working WiFi(i can connect my laptop to it and its working) but cant browse web or such apps i.e Android Market, FB, Navigation etc. I tried to change WEP and SECURITY on my ROUTER but to no avail. How can this be fix? coz i cant DOWNLOAD apps @ Android Market.

i tried connecting @ Android Market but it says:

CANT ESTABLISH A RELIABLE DATA CONNECTION TO THE SERVER.
This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call customer Care.

Hi, are you having problem with your Wi-Fi Network? If that is your problem, did you try with other Wi-Fi Network?

Yes. i can connect to the WiFi but i cant browse web and Android Market specifically.
I hav'nt tried connecting to a different WiFi, coz there's no other WiFi available here.

One more question, is this your own Wi-Fi Network? Some external Wi-Fi Networks can be connected but still require you to input account name and password.

Ok, suggest to perform a test in the phone Service Menu and then try connecting to Wi-Fi again. Some users resolved their problem by doing this.

From lockscreen, press HOME BACK BACK HOME BACK HOME HOME BACK. A Service Menu will appear, select Service tests>WLAN, check whether you are able to scan any Wi-Fi networks (ensure modem is on and within range). Once successful, exit by pressing BACK ....

Connnect to your Wi-Fi Network and see if you are able to browse the internet.

If still unsuccessful, I would suggest a Factory Data Reset which will erase phone data completely (SD Card not affect), remember to backup. Goto Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset.

I tried to follow steps you said but it didnt work, i even tried to Factory Data Reset but still it didnt work, it says:

Enable WLAN OK

Searching

Access POints Found

Connect Failed

Test Stopped

I guess i have to try connecting to a different WiFi, coz i tried connecting to Adroid Market using GPS and it totaly work!! even browsing web and FB. hmm

Suspect your Wi-Fi Network is giving you the problem since there isn't any problem with the Mobile Data Network.
