Thanks for the quick response.

I am moving the camera in the correct direction (from left to right and the arrow at the bottom is moving in the same direction) but it either tells me to pan more slowly, I am moving in the wrong direction or, less frequently, to pan quicker! No matter what I do it very rarely takes a photo.

I assume that this is a problem with the motion sensor but there is no option to adjust or reset it in the settings.

No problem.

There are 2 other options for you (in case you decided to) :smileywink:. No way tempting you ....

One way is to Factory Data Reset phone, goto Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset.

The other way is to use an alternate tool, SE Update Service. Here's the download link, http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1317636927/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.10.7.exe.

As mentioned earlier, it could be a bad internet connection (????)

I don't think there is anything wrong with phone after Factory Data Reset (your first shot is good).

What would you like clarified? I can't see a question asked by you in the other thread. Bear in mind that I am a volunteer moderator on here - I don't actually work for Sony Ericsson.
