topic 32gb MicroSD & Navigon in XPERIA archive

Maybe one, maybe two issues here. I installed a Lexar 32gb microSDHC Class 10 in preparation for some SatNav (poor choice of SatNavs for Android, having come from Windows Mobile + TomTom). I had issues installing Navigon 4. It was occasionally reporting no SD card. I switched off, took the card out and re-inserted. It would be OK for a while and then the card would disappear again. This does not happen in any other apps - including the large AviaSoft suite. A browse has shown that people have had trouble with Navigon - but maybe the card/socket is teh problem? Has anyone experienced that, or can anyone otherwise shed any light on this?

Do this problem only occur when using your navigation app or does it happen when using the phone in general as well? Do the phone system report that the SD card is removed or is it just the application?

This has happened again since I first wrote - but only with Navigon (but not on every occasion). The phone system reports the SD card as having zero capacity. Something clearly needs investigating but, as I am now using CoPilot in preference to Navigon, it is not urgent.
