HELP: Partial touchscreen unresponsive. Update Fail

Since I updated my phone, it has constant problems.... It seems in the New Zealand update, Is really the japanese update as the apps, language and keyboard are all in japanese. Also when I load up the phone docomo, I believe is a Japanese carrier loads up the phone...

The touchscreen today, went on the fritz... Random responses, apps opening on there own and then, the last cm or so of the portait screen is unresponsive. For example I cannot use space, enter or full stop any message..

I tried factory resetting my phone and it failed to fix the problem. Also I have tired to repair the phone with pc companion which failed..

try to update with this..it should solve the problem..

if the above doesn't helps then it may be a hardware problem..

so i suggest going to the service centre nearby to get it checked..

first do the above step..
