Xperia neo V - Micro SD and SDHC confusion

Hello

I am an Xperia neo V user from India. I called the support number for the following query: "I am planning to use an 8GB micro SDHC card for my phone. Would like to know which class of SDHC card would be best suitable for neo V. I understand that neo V supports all classes. But I don't want to go for a higher class, for eg. a class 10 card if my phone does not support transfer speed of 10 MBps. Please advise on the best class of SDHC card suitable for my phone".

The response from the support representative was this: "Neo V supports only micro SD card and not micro SDHC card. So, if you are going for an 8GB or 16 GB card, make sure that it is a micro SD card and not micro SDHC".

I explained that any card above 4GB is an SDHC card but he was not aware of it. Can anyone from SE confirm that neo V supports upto 32 GB of micro SDHC card. And also please advise on the best class of micro SDHC card that I should go for. I don't want to go for speeds higher than what the neo V works at.

I am using Transcend 16gb Class 10 microsdhc card in my NEO V. No problem at all

32 gb Class 10 is not available in India and ordering from Amazon or ebay is costly affair thats why I took 16 gb

Ya, I thought so that it would support all micro SDHC cards. The confustion was created by the customer care representative.

Now what remains is the best Class of SDHC card for neo V. As I said, I don't want to spend extra money buy buying an Class 10 card if the phone itself cannot transfer data at 10mbps.

I was also cofused almost 2 weeks because of these Customer Care guys.

Any way It gaves me max 8 mb till now.

16 GB class 10-1549 INR (Filpkart)

32 GB Class 10- more than 4500 INR (International E bay or amazon is less approx 3500 INR if they are ready to ship India). I think it will be officially available soon in India.

32 GB Class 4- 2500 INR

Choice is yours. Do read some reviews on Net and then decide.

How did you measure the 8mb speed ? Which app did you use.

I hope someone from Sony Ericssion can confirm the speed at which Neo V transfers data.
