XPERIA XA CAMERA HEAT PROBLEM

Hi everyone I brought xa phone from a dealer and issue which I faced is the camera heat problem(without ac) which I don't know is it because of hardware or software problem, the camera makes the phone heat and then battery drains very fast and same issue exist while using Skype also or video call

Is issue faced by someone or shall I go for local support for replacement

when im connect to wifi router it will not connect the problem is showing authentication problem...

1st of all when you run for the first time the camera app you are greeted with a message saying that the camera can heat the device and in order to avoid damage the camera app can close by itself. Checked. Xperia cameras are known to be the best cameras you can find in a smartphone. Sadly it heat... But if there is something I learnt is that most of the time a software repair fix it.. Not entirely but it helps. So, try this.. Reboot in safe mode and try the camera, is it better?

Also, is your display brightness too high? Lot of background apps running?

hi sir/ma'am,

i bought speria xa dual mobile. whenever i use mobile camera phone getting heat. many times phone gives warnning of over heating. i think this mobile is defected. once i visited sony center they said we cannot do anything. what should i do.

Hi @shanJI,

It is completely normal that the camera app warns you that the device is starting to heat up after using the camera for a long period of time or after the use of a different app which is heavy on resources. If you want, you can choose to not show the message when it appears by ticking the box shown in the bottom left of the notification.

If I understood you correctly, it simply warns about overheating and doesn't actually close the app?

This is normal, expect a moderate heat in your phone while the camera is up and running, and even more heat if you are recording a video for a long time. Your phone will shut down the camera application if the temperature exceeds the safety threshold.

If you think that the phone heats really fast, like after taking one or two still pictures, try to clear the cache of your camera app:

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Force stop, Clear data and restart your phone.

If this doesn't help, consider performing a backup of your important data then a software repair using Xperia Companion.

If all of the above doesn't help, you may need to contact your Local support and get your phone inspected by a professional.

it's ok, it will heat. but how you check product quality by comapiring with others. it heats too much than expected. heat may damage sensors and any other hardware brutally. if a low quality product performing better than sony mobile. what i supposed to sony use wrost quality of hardware.

can prove that it is heating too much and CPU heating is abnormal too. There obviously will be some bad consequences from multiple high/low thermal expansion and shrinking cycles. It is really like bad enginering consequnce. The support - bravo! You are silent as fishes as you have very bad enginiers and IT (those who should adopt google's roms). With that huge set of bugs and issues - there is no any track of weekly patches solving issues one by one. You just sitting there and copy/pasting like parrots that centence "use safe mode and configurator".

facing same issue here, camera heating the phone after 2/3 minute using camera.. Hope this is software issue

Its jan 2017, i recently bought an xa ultra, and this camera heating issue hasnt been solved!? im still experiencing it. Seriously, can this be fixed by a software update? I just want to get my money's worth. Not to mention the battery drains real quick.
