Dear team,

Offlate I observe my XA screen flickering while I am on watsapp/kindle. How do I fix it?

Flickering in the sense? Do you have a discolored issue?

not exactly.. Light fades gradually and brightens gradually

Ok try this.. Check with safe mode and tell me if it exists! And also check Settings-->Accessibility-->Colour correction is OFF or ON ?

Ok.. Luckily, the fix is easy & following solution may fix a more annoying problem.

Go to settings >> About phone.
Find "Build number" and click 6 times fast on it.
You will then get the message saying: "You are now a developer"
Come back to Home Screen, and then go back to Settings >> More Tab >> Now you will see the "Developer Options"
Now go to Developer options >> Drawing Section or Rendering Section >> Find "Turn off hardware overlays" or "disable hardware overlays" >> This will force the phone to always use GPU for screen compositing

The hardware overlays is already turned off.... That means I am already in gpu mode

try to disable the adaptive brightness. settings>display

and set the brightness manually

Dear team,
I have the same problem of luminosity flickering using my phone in a dimmed light environment. It seems that it does not depend on the running app Google, chrome, etc.
Android v6.0 and phone updated.

No, i've tried it. SONY should refund our money. From the next time i won't buy xperia phones. I have bought xperia c5 ultra xperia u xperia e4 and xperia z.
