Can my phone be used with chromecast?

Hi. I have had my Sony Xperia xa1 ultra for approx 2 weeks. Aside from one occasion that was rectified I have been using my chromecast for YouTube and Netflix etc without any issues. Today after being connected for hours it disconnected and eventually it flagged up the issue being my phone may not be compatible with chromecast. Is this correct? If so why was I able to use it before? Also is there any app I can get to enable use of chromecast? Many thanks.

That's something that you have to escalate with chromecast developers, my suggestion, uninstall and reinstall the app, make sure to download the app from the playstore not some third party apk site.

Thanks! I unstalled, reinstalled and updated all apps and that are linked to chromecast. It's working again, for now 👍
