The back button is something we use all the time and the recent apps buttons much less. It would be more logical that the back button is on the right (for right handed people) so you can work much faster. Please Sony, add this option.

Why isn't there an option to swap the "back" and "recent" soft keys? I'm right handed, as most people, and the back button is on the left. So it's hard to use the phone with one hand. A lot of people are complaining about this and it's an easy feature to build/enable, so why isn't this option available?

Since it's on screen navigation buttons, I have no clue why Sony did not add a setting to change it around .

I recently switched from Samsung to Sony and I'm really regretting my decision. I hate having the back button on the left and it seems that there is no solution other than rooting or something which I don't want to do! This is really dissapointing...

I use this on my XA2 stock (still on Oreo) to switch the back with the recents button. It even allows me to have two extra buttons (in my case with switch off screen and show notifications, very handy):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.paphonb.systemuituner

You will need to set up an ADB command
