I think I may have a solution to this (and some other happenings) with the Xperia XA1 G3116.

In my case the Swiftkey keyboard seems to have sent a pasword that could not be authenticated to my wifi modem. I turned "Make password visible" on and checked it carefully but no joy.

My solution has been to install GBoard from Play and select GBoard in the Languages option.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello,

I recently got this product (around 6 months ago) and am from the UK. However, it has developed a fault with the display. It's becoming more and more difficult to type on the edges (like the letter P on the keyboard) it's clearly a failing screen. This is a common problem as i've seen all over the internet.

I'm happy with returning the device, however, because I like to program I unlocked the bootloader for various reasons. In the UK (EU) you're not allowed to refuse warranty due to a bootloader unlock (though that never seems to stop companies from doing it) I'm just concerned that i've got a device that will slowly crumble and I can't claim it under warranty. Any of you lot have any similar issues with warrant? Would relocking the bootloader "revalidate" the revoked warranty? Before you say "DRM keys are gone" I don't see how my I shouldn't be allowed to clain on warranty to something that is clearly unrelated to software and VERY common.

Many thanks, Jamie_15.

See your device’s warranty statement for details. Additionally, due to the modified device software, Sony’s repair network will likely have to replace key components before it can properly test, repair and verify your device using our repair tools and software. Consequently, if Sony performs a warranty repair, Sony will likely charge you a significant service fee for the additional costs caused by your modification of the software.

https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader/
