Headphone issue

My Xa1 plus phone is 3 months old.

From past 2 days when i plug in my headphones it does not recognise and the sound still comes from the spreaker... Tried couple of other Sony headphones still same issue..

On surfing this Support forum I got to know about Soundabout app, on using this app i can hear media sound from my headphones..

so i guess there might NOT be any Hardware issue..

Then is there Sony software issue that won't recognise my headphones by default as it did?

Soundabout is temporary solution...

Please help!!

Have you tried using headphones in safe mode

If they work using that, it may be a 3rd party app messing up your sound.

Yes tried using the phone in safe mode.. Still facing the same issue in safe mode too.. cannot detect my headphones

As in safe mode also my headphones were not detected.. I did software repair using xperia companion, but still the same problem persists, headphones are not detected.. On using soundabout application I can hear media sound through my headphones.. but by default even on software repair it remains unrecognised..

What would be the issue?
