XPERIA ULTRA XA BATTERY WARRANTY

So I have a Sony Xperia XA Ultra and recently the battery is draining within a few hours of being charged. The phone is still under warranty with Sony as we get 24 months limited warranty in the UK. The store I bought the phone from has since closed down and wondered if the battery will be replaced under warranty if I send it directly to Sony?

seems like you should be talking directly to support as we the regular people dont know their rules/laws.
