Not reading micro SD cards

I have tried four micro SD cards in my device 1 old from my previous phone and 3 new different sizes and brands. When I insert them nothing happens. Is this a known hardware issue or is there a software fix. Thank you in advance for any help and insight.

Have a look in the diagnostics tests (it's under Settings-->About phone) whilst you have a storage card inserted and see if it is being recognized... You can also try a Software Repair, but I don't think it's going to make too much difference.

If these things don't work, then you will need to speak to your local Sony Customer Care Team and ask about getting your smartphone repaired... The multiple storage cards not working suggests to me that it is a hardware fault, so I think ultimately you will need to get your smartphone repaired.
