ringtone duration

My xperia xa1 rings 3 times then goes to answer machine. This does not give me time to get to my phone and answer it. How can I increase the number of rings so that I get a chance to answer calls before this happens?

it's probably a carrier-dependent setting, I don't think you can do anything about it except for disabling voicemail completely.

Welcome to the community,

@najodleglejszy is correct, the number of rings to voicemail is network dependent, however, they should be able to increase it.

Give them a call and ask them to increase the number of rings to voicemail, they should have no problems doing this for you.
