XA1 Ultra USB Notification issues

I bought the XA1 Ultra as soon as it came out. I had no issues, at first... My UI crashes from time to time. Not often enough to really bother me but enough to know it isn't proper. Now what is a big issue for me is in the notification bar the android system wants to know what to do like it's connected to a computer but nothing is plugged in. When I do connect it to a computer everything is fine. When it isn't, the notification doesnt completely show up and doesn't allow me to drag down my menu bar. You can see a tiny white line when you force hold it swipping down that flickers. Over time, it will not charge at all. I have to soft reset it to get it to charge. I have become a developer and changed to usb setting that way, cleaned the port and charger ports, done a factor reset as well as the Xperia Companion software reset. Still have the same problem. Can anyone tell me what I can try now? I love this phone otherwise.

Thanks for the video, could you boot in >>> safe mode and test the phone again

also, settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test touchscreen

Which Android version and build number is your phone running?

Does the phone has a protective film and/or glass?

I tried all of that too. It's running in the latest version. It updated to it a few weeks ago and again yesterday when I did the software repair. It did have glass on it of which I had no problems with it. I did take it off. No solution. The test passed.

Hi @awfirestar, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this issue you are facing.

Do you have a screen protector on the phone? And was it doing this right after the software repair too or only when you restored a back up or installed apps?

Did you get anywhere with this? Have exact same issue. After software repair, it worked for a month then came back. Seems to be a problem with the Android UI app. Force stopping it allows the ui to work again but then your computer doesnt recognise the phone anymore.

I had the same issue today but I went to developer options and selected USB only for charging and it seems to work.

For now at least
