Cannot turn WiFi notifications off.

Brochan — Sat, 21 Oct 2017 17:16:09 GMT

I have turned network notification to off in my WiFi settings but I still get a notification every time I am near a connection. This is driving me crazy! Any suggestions?

@Brochan

Do you leave WiFi on?

Yes.

Here's a crazy idea, @BeeDee - try turning Wi-Fi off (which will save you a little bit of battery, anyway).

I can't help you if you don't tell me what you're using, in English (try Google Translate - http://translate.google.com )...

I don't understand. Was I speaking double Dutch?

* What mobile device are you using?

Sony Xperia XA. Isn't this the XA forum?

* What version of Android does it run?

Version 7.0

* What application or accessory are you having problems with?

No application or accessory. It's the phone that notifies me when it is not supposed to. I really don't want to turn WiFi off as I move around a lot. This would be an inconvenient work around as opposed to a fix.

You're quoted half of my signature bud... Have a look at any post I've made - it's shown below all of them because many users here don't post in English and/or post very little information relating to their problem, which makes it hard for me to help them (I do agree it's slightly confusing with these particular forums - I am a member of other forums running on the same software, and they use slightly different text for the signature).

As for my suggestion, it was always intended to be a work-around... But it (should) solve your problem and save you a little bit of battery.

Don't like it?

That's fine, you can wait for someone else's suggestion then.. I was just trying to help.
