Earphone is not working

I am using xperia xa1 ultra for 3 months.. But now i am having a issue that my earphones are not working.. Video runs on load speakers not on handsfree i tried soo many earphones but it doent work.. Then i reset the mobile but i am having the same problem

Just to confirm, have you tried other headphones? Is the issue the same?

Yes i am having the same issue i have tried so many headphones but no one work.. Videos and music runs on speakers and mobile doesnt support the headphones.

Does it say something like "Headphones not supported" or does it just not make any sound?

Problem is solved.. There was a tiny paper piece inside my headphone jack by using pin i take it out and now headphones works

I have a Sony Experia XA1 and although I have tried a variety of earphones, I cant get any sound. I diont usually use headphones, so didnt realise this until fter I had had the phone for some time.

I dont want to have to do a re-boot or re-install or whatever!

Is there some solution to this problem - and why does it exist?

Rather red-faced over this one. Just discovered under Settings -Sound - Accessory settings - Headphones - there is a list of alternative headphones, including general which is the three terminal headphone plug only ( not microphone connection). Once the correct one was seleected, it works fine!! Dont remember seeing anything bout this is the manual, but I guess it is there somewhere.

Earphones is not working because of some problem with smart connect.
