Ok, I'll try a hard reset and then I guess I 'll have to send it to be fixed. Thanks anyways.

Hello, I have a problem with my Xperia XA touchscreen. Some areas of it are unresponsive.
Sometimes, after unlocking the screen, the whole touchscreen doesn't work at all (the physical buttons work fine and the screen reacts to them but tapping the screen does nothing). After a while it starts working again ( areas mentioned before still don't work but the rest does). Sometimes it starts clicking those areas by itself (almost like my previous taps got greatly delayed and then come all at once). Also, the phone works a bit slow now.
I've looked it up on google and done the following:
-restarted the phone
-simulated a battery removal
-removed the sim and sd card
-booted in safe mode
-tried a screen calibration app from google play
-updated the software
Nothing has helped. I've done diagnostic tests on the phone (both the one in settings and the android code ones). The android code tests confirm that those areas are not working properly (although I can achieve 100% on those tests by repeatedly tapping those areas). The test in settings (wiping the screen) works just fine (100% no problems which is weird). A hard reset is my last resort before sending it to the service.
I have had this phone for about a year now and have had no problems with it at all. It was never physically damaged, there was never any water damage or anything like that. This problem just appeared out of the blue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying. I thought that it's a hardware issue too, but if that's the case how come the screen wiping test is 100% ok? Also the whole phone now feels a bit slowed down (7.0 update maybe?). Do you think a hard reset would do any good?
