I'm sorry to hear this.

What exactly isn't working with JavaScript, do your get any error message? Make sure that you have enabled that you allow JavaScript in Chrome, you will find the setting under: Chrome > Tap ... > Settings > Site settings > JavaScript > Allowed.

have the same issue with Javascript, the settings are all correct but for whatever reason it still doesnt seem to be enabled. Is this another fault with the XA1?

I too am having this problem as well. Javascript is enabled and yet no Internet links in my emails will open as error messages pop up stating Javascript needs to be enabled. Have Sony responded with a solution yet?

Noticed the same issue on my brand new XA1-Dual bought 2018-05-11.

Settings in chrome are correct.

Tried different browser, firefox, but no luck.

Same problem here. Google map keep crashing too. Pls help. This is the 2nd phone I got replaced from Sony just 1week ago.

You need to disable the Setup Wizard in Settings -> Apps -> (Top right menu_ Show System -> Setup Wizard -> Disable
