Can you use tracfone with the XA Ultra?

One day hopefully soon I plan on getting the XZ Premium and I told my friend that I'll give him my XA Ultra as a gift, he's using some cheap phone. Can he use the XA Ultra with tracfone service?

The best thing to do would be to contact TracFone and Local support to distinguish whether your particular handset is going to be compatible with their network.
