How can I remove facebook from my phone (xperia pro)?

I have an unneded app and several unremovable icon connected eith it on my desktop.

It also searche the updates and always notify me.

I want to remove this app completly from my phone,

how can I do it ?

you can not remove it unless you

1) root your phone

and then

2) use Titanium backup to remove it

anytime, remember once we get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich we will be able to delete all the apps w/o rooting

Really, well that is great, i`ve heard great stuff for ICS, can`t wait to update it on my ST15i, but i am concered, what if SE (or just Sony will be then) disables that function w/o rooting?

I don't think Sony Ericsson will be able to do so w/o modifying the code too much and by doing so it will take time, and effort will probably create bugs and it will take longer for them to release updates and they already know how bad and how much it will harm them if they do so, they need to keep making money and keeping customers "happy"
