firmware 12.1.A.1.205 update problem

after my pc companion showed update is avaiIable i started updating my xperia sp to latest 12.1.A.1.205 firmware, in the time of updating step it showed an erorr about "internet connection" and told me to retry after restarting the pc. but after doing that i cannot connect my phone to the pc and my phone doesnt start. if i press the power button the "SONY" logo comes up and stays a while, then the phone shuts down!!! please tell me what should i do???

Try to repair it using SUS. If that doesn't work flash the 1.205 firmware with FlashTool.

Just make sure you have an ulocked bootloader if you are gonna flash. I suggest you visit a Sony Centre and let them repair/replace the phone, because this doesn't really seem to be your fault

No, flashing with FlashTool does not require an unlocked bootloader ot root and as it uses official Sony firmware probably doesn't affect the warrenty. However, I agree that a visit to a Sony service centre would be the next move if a SUS repair doesn't work.

but the battery is draining too fast!!!!

Turn off NFC, reduce brightnes to a low level, turn off 3G/4G (use Wi-Fi instead), disable Bluetooth, turn the LED bar off (if it's always on)

if the battery drains too much during sleep install Wakelock Detector from the play store. It will show what apps are keeping the phone awake.
