xperia x10 mini gmail sync contact in desired group

Hello i have xperia x10 mini, and have synced my contacts in desired group on gmail, but... after 2.1 update, i'am not able to save my new contact in my desired group in gmail, but only in "my contacts" group, which i have to manually move in gmail from "my contact" group to desired group. Can i save my new contacts directly to my desired group and how?

on your phonebook -> tap on the threeheaded monster on the top left corner -> tap on Google -> uncheck My Contacts and check the group that you want

ok open your phonebook, and if you look on the top left corner you should be able to see a three headed icon

there is none, on top left cornenr is a add new contact button, above that is contacts and stared contacts...nothing more

on your phonebook press MENU then tap the group you want to display

i did that, that is just for displaying group, but it stil doesn't save in that group, just in my contacts... 😞
i hope there is some way to save in desired group, becouse i can't allways keep manually moving them, especailly when i add more new contats witch i offten do for various reasons 😞

I've been investigating this and it seems that in Android 2.1 you can only select to store the contact directly on your Gmail account which means that the contact will be put in the My contacts group.

There's unfortunately no settings to change regarding this in the phone, and I'm not aware of any application that could manage this for you.
