Powerbank question.

Hy all,

I have a question about using Powerbank external battery for my SP.

I have a Powerbank with 2200mAh and I can charge everything with it, like an iphone4, my digital camera, I tried also with a HTC Wildfire, a Samsung S4, a Samsung Wave II but not my SP.

So i can say for sure that it's not a Powerbank issue.

Has anyone the same problem?Or someone can tell me something about?

PS: i also tried with several USB cable but nothing.

Whats the amps on it? if they are low then your phone may not detect it

2200mAh.

Even an S4 gets charged...like i said before i don't think it's a powerbank problem.

my SP gets charged well will wall socket charger or via USB, this is he weirderst thing,

via USB the phone gets only 500mAh and no problem!

Thats the size of the battery but it will have a 5v x amount of Amps output

Example check your wall charger it will say 5v 850mA

Specifications are this for powerbank:

capacity : 2200mAh

Input : DC5V - 1A

Output : 5V - 1A

For wall socket i use original Sony and it's like you said 5v 850mA

it's not a real problem, i just want to know if there are limitation or else for powerbank.

The V and A are fine so should work - Does your phone charge if connected to as Pc? Strange why it wouldn't work - There's no signal which says reject the charge if not using a genuine charger unless the powerbank is refusing to charge your phone - Wonder if there's a compatibility issue - Maybe ask the makers of the powerbank

yes if connected to a PC it charges.

Yes it's really weird.

that cable which you charge your phone comes with your power bank??or you use your sp orginal cable?

tried with both.No way.

Any cable i tried with other phone or digital camera or even my wireless mouse works!

strange!! like you i just wanna know whats wrong also!!:smileyconfused:

cause i know other cables wont work with SP

i tried 5meter extension usb cable between original charger and original usb cable it took 10 hours to charge completly!!

Well i never had a problem with charge.

i use always Sony charger/cable, but at work i use a samsung cable with PC also always OK.

Well don't know what to say man...

I will use Powerbank to charge all the other stuff.

Absolutely! It will arrive next monday from Amazon.

So my previous powerbank, the one 2200mAh can charge a Samsung S4 from the bottom but not my Xperia SP.

My new one 10000mAh work like a charm and fast with 1A output!!!

what a relief to know that i do not spend my money for nothing!!! :smileywhew:

So it was my previous powerbank problem....weird but true....

i've bought an EasyAcc PB10000

10000 mAh - two usb ports

1 with 1A - 5V output and 1 with 2A - 5V output

i've found it at Amazon, it was a super offer

and i've spent about 21€ deliver included (in Italy).

but the charger for powerbank is not included, so i'm using Sony charger.

so with this powerbank i can charge 2 devices at 1 time.

i still have to test how many charges i can do but now i can say that i've charged from 30% to full my SP and

from 10% to full an iphone4, there are 4 led that indicate charge level i'm still on 3 led lit.

So for now, i'm satisfied.

PS: i'm using an original Sony cable for charge.
