Can I replace only the broken digitizer and keep my original screen on my xperia arc s?

Yes you can, you can buy the Digitizer on ebay, you don't have to replace both LCD and Digitizer

Yes I have seen this video but there it is showing how to take apart the lcd from the digitizer 😕

You have to use a hair dryer to get the glue to loosen up
