xperia sp freezed

My sp has suddenly freezed.Since the battery is non-removable I cannot switch it of.

I tried everything even pressing the power and volume down button together but I am not able to switch it off.

You have a small button if you remove the back cover.Press it,it forces shut down the phone.

Charge for 1-2 hours,repair with sony update service.

My Xperia SP was new in January (business contract) and the update ruined the phone with many problems. Freezing, lag when typing. Re installed all the software as recommended by Sony and didn’t help the problem. EE have just replaced my phone along with a colleague and it now has the original software pre update. We're still having problems.

When making a call the screen goes blank and the on button will not open the screen. I have left several random messages on answer machines because I couldn’t open the screen. My colleagues phone has a delay when typing a message. Now going to negotiate a different phone e.g HTC from EE as this phone is "not fit for purpose" and Sony doesn’t seem to accept there's a problem. Won't be having another Sony unless Sony has a resolution.
