Update Fails

Hi,

I am trying to update the latest version for my Xperia P and keep on getting the below error message, because of which I am not able to upgrade it. Tried it several times without no luck.

It fails in the 3rd step while trying to update it, I have checked the internet connection and its working fine without any issues.

Finally I was able to update it without any changes to my system, very weird but my phone is now not starting.. any idea how to get it back to work.....

repeat the update process with SUS > does the notification LED turn orange? red? green when its connected to the wall charger?

Initially when I plug it LED turns RED and then Green and again RED also it keep displaying sony just like blinking....

ok, and that's a PC or a wall charger?

try this

connect your phone to the wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 8 seconds > let your phone charge for 1 hour > try to turn it back on

I have tried the option suggested by you and kept it for charging...how would I know whether its getting charged or not...

you will have to wait for an hour or so and then press and hold power & volume up and see if that work, btw how did this happened? were you flashing a custom rom? unlocked the bootloader?

Sorry I am not sure about bootloader and custom rom....I was just updating using PC Companian and got a message saying it has updated successfully and clicked finish...after that I unplugged and tried to start it with no luck....

ok just follow my suggestion and then try to update your phone with SUS, another suggestion

on your PC create a new admin account on your PC > install SUS > restart your PC > after the 1hr of charging > try again with SUS > remember the phone has to be off with SUS

I have tried your suggestion with no luck now trying to update using SUS. But I am not able to take the backup of the data, vl contacts and other details will be lost?

everything will be lost, but a working phone w/o the data its better than a dead phone w/ all the data

if you backed them up with google then you can sync back

on your computer access your gmail > contacts

if you repair your phone with SUS the phone will be as new

Thanks finally I was able to switch on my mobile using SUS and even my data was available...I am very happy...but now small issue with the display where the center part is black and rest is white. Will attach the screenshot also.

I don't see the problem, the notification bar its black, you can take screenshots by pressing at the same time power & volume down
