Sony Xperia SP (C5302) : Physical camera key button not working....

Hi,

I have purchased brand new Sony Xperia SP (C5302) phone ... Everithing is OK but Physical camera key button not working. When i click the botton just zoom the image and set the distance but not capturing the pic. Software version is 12.0.A.1.211. Please do the needful ....

If this can't be fixed by rebooting the phone you might want to try reinstalling the phone software using SUS.

I have the latest & updated software in my device. Even, after updating my phone software I find this problem and I'm not at all ready to take my phone to the service center just the next day of purchase 😕 😞

Are you using this button like on real camera ? :smileysmileywink:

It have two positions:

1. press the camera key slightly down -> activate camera + focus

2. press the camera key fully down -> take a photo

Hi I had same issue. Open camera app. Go to Setting-Quick launch. There u find it disable. Change it accordingly. It will work now onwards. Press the camera key with a bit pressure to operate its two state. No issue with hardware or software.

Xperia SP has an autofocus camera.
So when you are pressing the camera button slightly it starts focusing,
In order to take a pic you have to press it a little harder for a bit longer duration
