[Q] [PLEASE HELP] GPS function not responding in JB Update For Xperia Go

IDK if anyone else has had this problem, but after updating to JB i wasn't able to use my GPS for navigation in google maps (or anything for that matter) and am only able to use navigation thru my cell signal or wifi. If anyone else had this problem and has a solution i'd greatly appreciate it. PLZ N THX (2 post in a day WOOO!!!lol)

so it turns out that the gps works on other apps such as pkspotter so my assumption is that the issue has to do with google maps. Anyone with a solution or idea on how to fix this dilemma is welcome

I had the same problem.

The problem resolved it self by putting the phone in a window and keeping the map open and screen on for about half an hour, maybe less.

It is important the screen is on, as the GPS function stops when the screen turns off.

I think there is something buggy with the AGPS data stored in the update, and the phone fixes it once it has had a good fix for some time.
