Confusion in XPERIA Mini Pro

Dear Friends,

I just bought a new Sony XPERIA Mini Pro SK17I. But I found major confusion compared to Symbian. Could you please guide me on below points

1. How to deactivate the threaded message view. If it is not possible in standard then is there any another application which I can use

2. How to create group Contacts? If not in standard please let me know any available application which suffice the requirement

3. How to send the group SMS? If not in standard please let me know any available application which suffice the requirement

4. How to maintain the default mobile number / SMS sending number for my contact which has multiple mobile numbers?

5. I dont want to synchronize my contact / Calendar with Sony or gmail. Is there any way I can synchronize only on Outlook in my Laptop and edit it

I need to ask these question but these are the normally used in Symbian OS and I am so confused with Android

u canot create group contacts in stock..download an app called life.contacts..https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sonyericsson.zwooshi&feature=search_resultit'll manage ur favorites callers..and for group contacts try 1 of these..https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dw.contacts.free&feature=search_result, https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jbapps.contact&feature=search_result
HANdcent sms
got to contacts..and tap on the image or the head of the contact u want to maintain a default number..click on the green phone..the numbers will be listed..there will be a option underneath "remeber this selection" click on that and call the number..from now on it'll remeber the number as default number..

Thanks for your reply

I checked with Handcent SMS but it is showing the same threaded view. I need the standard / Old sms view used in Symbian

For maintaining the default contact i tried to follow the procedure as said above but failed to do so. Could you please give in bried. It might be different than other OS. The new phone has Gingerbread.

Can I transfer the old SMS available in Symbian OS to new Phone as they are more than 2000 SMS

i 2 was using symbian b4 but u have to get over it

i loved some of the features of my nokia n95 but my arc cant provide me with some things so

i dont care bout them..

mine's gingerbread to..and there shud be..

go to contacts..tap on any contact;s image or the default head..

note: not tap on the name but on the image..

options will pop out,,select the green phone..and there u must see an option "remeber my selection"

for transfering from old info use this link..u have to be logged in 1st to open the link..

Thanks dear its working fine. The PANSI SMS is best application for normal SMS view. Thanks for help.

The handset is good. I bought it for 15400. The handset has good display quality but bit bulky. I saw the Samsung IPAD and found the same feature available in XPERIA MINI PRO.

Yeah...its officially launched in India and I bought it in Kolhapur, Maharashtra
