FILES CANNOT BE COPIED INTO THE INTERNAL STORAGE

I am on my 2nd XPeria T in one week now (1st one suffered battery problems unfortunately).

Now I am baffled again, I have installed PC Companion (Windows 7 64 bit), drivers are installed and my system recognizes the phone, PC Companion states the phone is connected to the PC, I can go into 'internal storage' of the Xperia T, go into its subfolders, created new folders, but I cannot copy Music and images , the Windows copy box just hangs.....

I didn t have this problem with the 1st handset just 3 days ago, could throw all sorts of files in there. I ve tried USB debugging, I went to the settings> 'xperia' to try 'mass storage and/or 'media storage' Uninstalled everything from the drivers to resetting the phone, I have latest updates.... no luck

anyone any ideas??

i figured this ou was an issue with the USB cable
